About the Role
FCC Commercial Furniture, in Roseburg, Oregon, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeroom Clerk to join our Shipping Department. You will play a vital role in our daily operations by managing our inventory, ensuring materials are correctly stored, and supporting our production team by issuing the supplies they need to succeed. We are looking for a proactive team player committed to accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

What You Will Do
  • Inventory Management & Accuracy: Verify incoming shipments by accurately counting, sorting, and weighing items against invoices and requisitions. Maintain inventory records and compile reports regarding stock usage, material damage, and shipment refusals. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Material Handling: Perform routine organization, handling, and internal delivery of parts with high accuracy. This includes pulling parts for kits, properly storing inventory in assigned bins or shelves, and distributing stock throughout the facility to support production workers.
  • Operational Collaboration: Support seamless daily operations by collaborating across teams. Actively learn and apply new technical skills to drive continuous improvement in inventory and stockroom processes, while assisting the shipping and receiving departments as directed.
  • Quality & Consistency: Maintain consistent accuracy and high quality while performing repetitive tasks. Demonstrate full commitment to established company quality systems and operational processes.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Strictly follow all company safety standards, including the proper marking, storage, and transportation of materials.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Communication & Technical Aptitude:
    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and colleagues in a professional manner.
    • Proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to use computer software—including spreadsheets—to update inventory counts and compile reports.
